Anti-theft Chambers

Anti-theft chambers may be used for protecting pumps, boreholes, motors, electrical switchgear, and may be made to any size to suit the size of what is being protected. In effect these anti-theft chambers are mini-pump houses or mini sub-stations.

The designs shown in this section are all protected by a patent, but may be made under license to Dams for Africa (see home page for contact details)

(1) This anti-theft chamber is made from reinforced concrete and is positioned over
a borehole, thus protecting the submersible pump. It also houses a booster pump, as well as the electrical switch gear for both motors. On the outside are two 'on/off' switches which communicate with the electrical control panel on the inside.

(2) This chamber is being used to protect a water meter. The panel may be opened monthly, easily and quickly, to take the readings.
