Vaults (Click on links below to navigate to vault of choice)
A number of vaults have been developed for various applications as follows:
1. Screw-lid vault: The lid screws up with using a custom made spindle (or 'tool'). It is then rotated 90 degrees, the tool removed, and the lid pushed open. Typically this vault is used for securing surface and submersible pumps, including the corresponding electrical control panel.
2. Hand-lid vault: Once the custom opening tool has been inserted into the access tube & the locking levers retracted, the lid may be lifted out by hand. This vault is suitable for securing boreholes with submersible pumps, or small instrument panels.
3. Slide lid vault: Again the custom opening tool is inserted into an access tube and a locking lever retracted, whereupon the lid can slide open. The sliding action requires minimal effort, allowing for large lids, or even the entire roof-slab to slide open. Suitable for valve-chambers, surface pumps, transformers, etc.
4. Slide-door vault: The custom opening tool is inserted into the access tube, and engages a rack-bar inside. Once this is lifted up out an anchor-hole, the lid is pushed open with minimal effort. Suitable for isolated control panels, pumps, transformers, etc.
5. Roll-open vault: The custom opening tool is inserted into the access tube and unlocks a mechanism inside. The two halves of the vault are then rotated through 90 degrees, rendering the vault open. Suitable for transformers, pumps, control panels, etc.
